Jonathan has worked in large and small companies in the manufacturing, distribution and chemicals sector for over 30 years. From large corporations to running small SMEs, he has experienced a wide range of business sectors.
Halgan PTY, Sydney – Jonathan was head-hunted to this General Manager’s role in Australia. He oversaw the implementation of new manufacturing systems and the commissioning of a new factory in Brisbane. He realised that the role did not suit his skills and chose to return to the UK to pursue his aim of providing high quality talent development services.
Francis Ward Ltd – Jonathan had many years at Francis Ward, a plastic moulding company specialising in supply of materials handling products for manufacturing industry. He was responsible for many large blue chip clients and was quickly promoted to Managing Director. Developing high functioning teams was essential in a small manufacturing company and Jonathan’s interest and skills in coaching, training and development were nurtured in this role.
Hays Chemicals (now Brenntag UK) – Jonathan spent several years working in the commercial department of a large chemical distribution company, with control and stewardship of a range of important chemicals for industry. He learnt how to trade products and promote them to internal customers to maximise sales and return.
Nalco Ltd – As a Technical Sales Representative in the Oil Refinery Chemicals Division, Jonathan learnt how to sell products and services to large multinationals. Plenty of miles on the M62 taught him the highs and lows of being a sales rep.
Coca-Cola GB Various sites – Part of the team that built the largest soft drinks factory in Europe, from a greenfield site in Wakefield. Jonathan was promoted to Shift Manager and was responsible for training and developing a large team of individuals with a variety of skills.
